Today’s Reading: 2 Chronicles 20; Psalm 37
Remember, Self, that not knowing what to do doesn’t mean you get to make the day up as you go along. Not having answers, not knowing what will come, not being able to anticipate what might come – it’s all another humbling thorn, another grace-gift, another signpost pointing you Home.
Sometimes, the only answer is this: “We do not know what to do, but we look to You” (2 Chronicles 20:12).
And while waiting for clear direction, Self, keep living how you do know to live: love well, choose joy, share grace, serve, marvel before Him, pray, believe, Seek Him. Through all that living out what you already know, you’re bound to discover that the way He would have you go is the way you are already going: Homeward with Him. You don’t have to see where the road is taking you to know that He is, step after shuffling step, walking you Home.
A man’s steps are established by the Lord,
and He takes pleasure in his way.
Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed,
because the Lord holds his hand.
